Empower Swiss Driving Pharmaceutical Workforce Strengthening Across Nigeria

In recent months, Empower Swiss, SARL has been at the forefront of advancing Nigeria’s pharmaceutical workforce development through a series of high-impact stakeholder engagements coordinated by the Presidential Initiative for Unlocking the Healthcare Value Chain (PVAC).

During the Stakeholder Workshop on “Enhancing Local Manufacturing and Supply Chains for Malaria Health Commodities”, held on 8–9 October 2025 in Abuja, Empower “Addressing Industry Capacity Gaps through Digital Training and Self-Regulation: Building Sustainable Skills, Compliance, and Self-Sufficiency.” The workshop, convened by the PVAC in collaboration with the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP ), National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC ), and development partners such as the World Bank , brought together key stakeholders from across the sector. The session showcased how Empower’s digital learning framework and Centre of Excellence for Digital Training can promote continuous professional development, and align training initiatives with PVAC’s national manufacturing capacity-building agenda.

Adding strategic depth, Empower facilitated Technical Group 2 sessions, which guided the regulatory roadmap discussions for malaria-essential commodities such as Artemisinin-based Combination Therapies (ACTs), Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDTs), Long-Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLINs), and vaccines.

Comprehensive Situational Analysis and Targeted Digital Solutions
